'Touchless' kitchen faucets add nice touch

I don't have a water system issue, but I do have a water system query. On a latest open-house trip with a buddy, I observed a torpedo with two faucets. One was a conventional faucet with manages and an apply. The other showed up to be a gooseneck-style digital "touchless" faucet, the type you see in professional programs. Why would a home have a second digital faucet like that on a kitchen faucet ? Was I seeing things? -- Honest, Massachusetts
Dear Frank: More than likely, you saw see a touchless professional faucet on a personal faucet. This is not that unusual in "trendy" operating kitchen, and individually I think it's a wise decision.
Here's how most of these second kitchen-sink faucets are being used. The main touch is still the conventional type, with manages and an apply. But a prepare managing raw meals can use the touchless faucet to clean arms without damaging any faucet manages. Also, if vegetables need to be washed off, the water will run only when the food is beneath faucet. This can preserve water, because the digital "on-off" faucets will not run regularly, as a conventional faucet would.
Bottom line: Including a touchless faucet without any manages to your torpedo may help you "handle" efficiency and hygiene problems.
